Hello again all! Apologies for the time it's taken between posts, it's coming into exam season at uni now and show season with re-enactment - hence painting has taken a back seat until the summer holidays in a few weeks, when I'll have a lot more free time. Since my last post I've had just about enough time to carry on with the sculpting on the commissions I'm working on, but not to grab some photos of them. So instead, I thought I'd take a look at what'll be coming up at some point on the blog...
Not long ago I showed a picture of Chinese general figure, and that kickstarter passed its funding goal, so two of those will be headed my way at some point - one to paint normally, and one in terracotta. I'll probably do something with plinths to tie the two of them together in some way. The other kickstarter I've recently backed is Medieval Mayhem, which is producing models of the main characters of Monty Python's Holy Grail. I've pledged for all of the four above, the holy monks (because of my impression as a re-enactor) and the vicious rabbit, which I'm getting for free. I'm certainly looking forward to painting these, though I'm undecided as to whether I should do them separately or put them in a diorama together. Opinions? As always, thanks for reading, and I look forward to the holidays when I can spend more time at the paint desk. I'm quite looking forward to making a conversion along the lines of the new mechanicum releases, so keep an eye out for that!
My name is Chris Nelson, I'm a hobbyist. I started around eight years ago with Lord of the Rings as my first system, however I prefer painting to gaming.
