This is a work in progress shot of my Arbites Enforcer, which I got at the Forge World open day. Because it's such a nice model I bought a second one, which I haven't started building yet. This model is likely to be a one off, but if I get the chance then I'd like to add an Arbites patrol to accompany him and look cool in my display cabinet, because I've always wanted to paint a squad of enforcers.
I've got some pictures of the progress I've made on the models from Escape from Goblin Town, notably Gandalf and Thorin. I've also built Balin and Dwalin, but I haven't started painting them yet, they're on my 'to do' shelf. Which means it may be a small while before I get back round to them, because there's a lot on the shelf to do, in varying states of completeness.
At last, my camera chooses to behave properly, so I've taken as many pictures as I can. I should have enough to last a small while now. Well, here are some pictures of my current work in progress project, the Vostroyan Commander. The inspiration for the model is this piece of artwork, especially the command squad on the right. As well as the commander, I intend to create the other members of the command squad, so that I can enter them all into the Golden Demon 40k Squad category.
Well, I was hoping for some new photos of current projects, but the problem's still not solved. I'm going to try improving the photo quality on the other camera as soon as I get a chance, so I'm hopeful that might work. I'd also like to say a quick sorry to Tom Pullen, who contacted me online asking for more pictures of my Death Korps. I honestly haven't forgotten you and I've got the whole post drafted, I just need good photos.
I'd planned to post some work in progress pictures today, but I'm afraid that I can't use the camera at the moment because I'm not sure where it is, and my phone camera is very blurry for anything close up. So sadly no pictures yet. I do, however, have the whole post written, so as soon as I've got some pictures, I'll post them straight away.
I've done a bit more on the project, and I've now finished painting the sword hilt, leaving just a small bit on the hat and some decorative trims on the robes before the gold areas are finished. After that I'll probably move onto painting the red cloth and the leather coat.
I've also done some more work on a squad of Grey Knights, who I want to take to the School's League in a few months. I've finished the silver and I'm halfway through the gold. but there's still plenty more to do. I'll put some pictures of the whole army online as soon as I've finished the squad.
I hope to be able to post pictures online soon, but I've got a few pictures on my computer of older models that I can post until the problem's sorted. Thanks!
I was planning on showing you some pictures of my Golden Demon entry today. Until I found out that the new computer only accepts one size of memory card, and it's the wrong size. Just for fun, here's a picture on the one working camera of the Golden Demon entry, showing why I haven't got any other pictures in this post.
So it would appear that that's not going to work. My phone has a decent camera, so I'm going to try taking photos on that and using those - fingers crossed it should work, and I can get some pictures online for you soon. For the moment, enjoy looking at a blurry picture of my current project.
Well, sort of. Sadly, they aren't the pictures of my Golden Demon entry that I promised (yet), but I'll be posting those soon. Rather, I've got some picture of my Adeptus Custodes Centurion before he was painted.
You can see where all the different parts of the model come from in these photos; which parts are the original model, which are from plastic kits and which bits are sculpted by me
I've finally finished the long task of uploading all of the images to the galleries, so there shouldn't be any more place holder images or lacking descriptions. If you find any, let me know!
I haven't had much time for painting this week because of A level exams (also the reason why there aren't any pictures of work in progress models yet), but I did manage to make some small progress on my Golden Demon entry, painting the a sword hilt in non metallic gold. That just leaves the hat details, decorative trims and a necklace, and then I've finished the metals. Again, I'm sorry for the lack of pictures, and I'll try to get some work in progress shots on here within the week for any comments and criticisms.
I think the title says it all really. I'm sorry about the delay in posting anything new, unfortunately the computer died the other day, and so I haven't been able to do anything on the website. But fear not (or fear a great deal, both are appropriate responses), I'm back now with a new computer.
So what have I been working on? Well, I've put the time without a computer to good use, and I've made progress on several models (which sadly I don't have pictures of yet). I've made some progress painting my Golden Demon entry for this year (if I finish it in time), and I've started painting Thorin Oakenshield from the Escape from Goblin Town set.
I'm also able to continue adding to the galleries, so hopefully all of the place holder images will be replaced soon. I'll also get some pictures of work in progress models to add to the What's New section regularly. I'm going to try and update this regularly, so expect a post around once a week (and usually on a Saturday, if I can).
Please do comment so that I know if anyone reads this!
This is my new website, please do comment and let me know that someone is reading this. I'll be posting more stuff soon, but this is just a first post to say hello.
Also, please forgive the state of some of the pictures in the galleries. I'm afraid my camera died yesterday, and so I've only taken a few pictures so far. I promise that I'll replace the placeholder images with real ones as soon as possible.
